I was shocked when I couldn't switch back to Google Assistant today. I had tried out gemini for months a while back, and it does not control my phone well. I don't need advanced AI to remind me to move the laundry in two hours or remind me of my mother's birthday each year. Or to queue up a specific song on spotify. Also, advanced AI is cumbersome at those things. It's a real bummer.

I'm assuming this is a way to artificially inflate user numbers to shareholders.

This sucks.

What a cool project. That's on the way to being what I need, but it still can't do reminders. Honestly, reminders are the only thing I want because of absentmindedness. I think I'll just schedule send text messages to myself going forward. Not as simple as saying it out loud, but sending a text is pretty muscle memory at this point.
