My guy, I agree with you in spirit, but the law has been barely hanging on for a while now. The law won't protect you from a bunch of SS neonazis with more funding than the fucking Marines when you shoot one. If you haven't noticed, they're a bunch of cowards who roll in packs and shoot people for just being too close to them.
You'll bring one, maybe two with you if you're quick or they're lined up all nice, but that's about it

That I could see. There’s still a chain of command in the military where I believe there will be at least one person that can recognize unlawful orders and refuse.
