When a US-American says "white people", you know they're talking about "US white people".
When a US-American says "black people", you know they're talking about "US black people".
When a US-American says anything, just put a "US-" in front of it to know what they're talking about.

Sometimes this works, but other times even if you put "US-" in front of it, it's still total non-sense.
