Really? Is that all you do, call people rapists and pedophiles and racists and nazis when you disagree with them?
AI is transforming medical research, this is so fucking weak.
The problem with AI is the people who control it, the environmental impact, the danger to all our livelihoods, and the danger of unleashing something even worse than social media on political and actual battlefields.
Not fucking medical research. Do people in here think there are no benefits or redeeming qualities to AI??
They aren't saying medical research is a problem with AI, that's the straw man of the slop comic.
The problem is people who think to equate rejecting their slop comic with rejecting a cure for cancer.
It is an observation that we do not have have this fictional scenario of curing cancer to point to, but instead we have plenty of CSAM and non consensual material to point to instead.
We have plenty of scenarios to point to where AI (machine learning) have contributed massively to science.
Is that up for debate in here?
Again, missing the point, even if there is example to point to, the "I hate the legitimate medical breakthroughs from GenAI" is a straw man no one is saying, but it's being substituted for people that would say "I hate his uninspired slop comic". He's butthurt that people don't like the sort of slop he gets generated, and pictures himself to be in the cohort of medical researchers using AI.
Further people have repeatedly in this thread agreed that ML has been a critical tool, but ML is not really relevant to the contentious subject in most examples cited. However even if LLM is shown as a key tool, it doesn't really change the matter of this GenAI user having nothing to do with those folks.
