Yeah this is a cookie cutter neighborhood that has a mailbox in front of every house and the HOA requires pretty large house numbers. For the US they're very small lots too. ~15' from the street to the front of the house. And every mailbox is labeled as well.
I've had quite a few issues at my last house as well. A roommate of mine was waiting on a check for 3 months. We had what's called "informed delivery" where anything scanned to your address at the post office would end up in your email so you knew it was being delivered that day.
He could see it saying it was going to be delivered. Checked the mail, not there. A few days later it was returned to sender. This happened 3 times with the same check. It only made it when the sender finally used their home address as the return instead of the business address.
