When I first joined lemmy years ago (this was my first fedi account, so however old this is) I was not aware that some instances censor certain things prior to feeding content to the rest of the fediverse, so I’d come across [redacted] quite a lot, with no context for why it was there.

So I started writing it myself for fun, I can’t be the only one out of the loop and it was frequently hilarious in context, so thought nothing of doing it myself. I bet that confused a lot of people, since I’m not on a censored server. Lets just say that was intentional ;)

My app changes the whole comment structure when comments were deleted, so thats super obvious and the chains ITT are unconvincing and obvious at best. Idk what desktop looks like, maybe that works better. But either way the censorship is inline and doesn't have “maybe is maybe not” for legitimacy.
