The only acceptable use of AI in music making is micro-sampling. If it helps you design a crazy new synth sound, cool, but a human better be playing that synth.
Purely genAI music sounds like trash.
There is no acceptable use of AI. It's unethical turtle feces all the way down.
This is ridiculous, of course there's abunch of benefits.
It's like acknowledging the devastation unfettered capitalism has on society and democracy and also see that some of the products it helped create help in everyday life.
Is that enough of a reason not to oppose capitalism? Hell no. But if it's there and helps me I'm gonna use it.
AI is fucking great for learning tech. It's the implementation and people who own it who suck, the tech itself is very very useful.
It's ok to discern nuances.
