Boomers own 52% of the country. Over 55s own about 73%. They ARE the ownership class. Billionaires are a minority of that class both by numbers and by assets. And most of the billionaires themselves are old fucks.
Ok, so what this number establishes is that a significant portion of the owning class is over 55. What it doesn't show is that the boomers are the ownership class. If one guy over 55 owns 75% of the country, you still end up with
being true. You're focussing on the wrong group of people.
It doesn't matter how many billionaires there are, they are the ones who rule because they are billionaires. Your figures mean fuckall in the grand scheme of the wealth and power of billionaires.
