Still won't stop JD Vance from continuing project2025
Yeah honestly, as heinous as orangeboi is, I’m… deeply, deeply concerned about what a Vance admin would look like and do. Because as much as he is an absolute shitgoblin, he has his mental faculties more or less intact, and he is very much drinking the kool aid.
The cult falls apart after the leader dies. It's like 99% of the time. Can they keep it together? I doubt it.
"Cult of Personality", it's a thing.
I don't know why people keep making this argument. We're talking about republicans here. These people love Marjorie Taylor Green and enjoy Kid Rock. They will always and without fail rally around the biggest piece of shit they can find.
Trump is not special, they just figured out how to successfully brand their useful idiot
Also, cult of personality is how they win elections. He's already won and the election isn't for another 3 years. He doesn't have to win over the populace, right now.
I don’t know that that’s gonna work here. Like, I hope the movement shatters… but I’m not sure it will. American politics is deeply, deeply fucking stupid, and has been for a very long while.
The dumbest third of our country likes to think of it like football teams - whose players and coaches may come and go, but at the end of the day, they’re rabid fans of “their guys”. That’s what a lot of Republicans are nowadays. Uncritical, team-based/tribal adherence to dogma. And it’s going to fucking kill us all. I guess there’s some sort of cold solace in knowing it’s gonna kill them, too.
