It should not matter how they would vote, just that they are colonies that deserve to be added to the union.
Wrong. They deserve to be paid massive reperations and allowed to vote if they want to either become a state or become an independent nation. With a referendum being held. Let us not just assume they would want to join AmeriKKKa.
Obviously voluntary, although Puerto Rico has already had that referendum and the US Congress completely ignored it. USVI did too, but they voted to stay a territory.
My point was to actually give first dibs on statehood to the territories, not to force them or to force Venezuela.
~~I thought the PR referendum was: "status quo or nah?" and status quo won. Independence wasn't really an option, neither was statehood~~
