AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

I hear good things about their service but Australia is a no-go for me personally in terms of data privacy. Looking at EU/Swiss/Norway to start with, we'll see how it goes.

That one is on the short list!

I am using posteo.de for mail/calendar/contacts. No e2e encryption though. German provider, strong EU privacy rules and they focus on privacy (you can pay by mailing them cash if you want to). 1€/month

For storage I have a lifetime pcloud.com account (EU servers). Private data I encrypt with cryptomator.org.

Disclaimer: I have not checked if any of them have gone crazy recently.

Yeah, I really love the look of Posteo, but I use personal domains for mail. Pretty sure they still don't support those. If they did I probably already would have signed up with them.

Ha! Pretty sure the drama would have made it to us if so.

Yep, I looked into Posteo two days ago and it looks like they still don't support personal domains. :(

Understandable.. My problem is money.... Fast mail is so far the only one that I found in the budget, as every option is gonna be more overall than I was paying with proton unlimited... Plus my threat model doesn't really need e2e email.. I mainly switched to proton for price and email aliasing to not get spam messages to hell from one of my accounts leaking my email in a breach. Currently looking at fastmail + windscribe + bitwarden for $140 a year where I was 190/2yrs but worth it to say fu to Mr yen

Yeah, I'm looking at price increases everywhere so far since I have rock-bottom data capacity needs but use a few personal domains with a lot of aliases. I guess that's the price of freedom.

Also on the short list!
