In the early hours of the morning on 16 February, US citizen Zaher Ibrahim, his wife and two of his children were asleep in their home in the occupied West Bank. They woke to loud banging and shouting outside. When Ibrahim opened the door, he found around 25 to 30 Israeli police officers outside.

They came in, handcuffed and blindfolded his 16-year-old son Mohammed, and took him to Moscovia detention centre in Jerusalem. After a few weeks, in mid-March, he was taken to Megiddo prison, and is now at the notorious Ofer prison, where he was moved to in mid-August. Mohammad was in Palestine on holiday when he was detained. Ibrahim takes his children back regularly, sometimes twice a year, so that they can maintain a connection with their culture and ancestral lands.

Ibrahim said that the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, came to visit him at his home in the occupied West Bank, after Israeli settlers killed Mohammed’s cousin Sayfollah Musallet in July. “He [Mike] came and sat for an hour. And you know, we got a lot of words that he’s gonna do what he can do. Nothing was done," Ibrahim told Middle East Eye from Silwad, near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Israel has already starved children to death in their extermination camps this year.

Western media does not report on it very much because it is not Israeli ubermenschen.

In Gaza, usually without mentioning the perpetrator and blaming Hamas.

Not the starvation in the extermination camps fully under Israel control.

CNN: Palestinian teen died in Israeli prison after suffering ‘likely prolonged malnutrition’, autopsy finds

The autopsy report described signs of severe weight and muscle loss, including loss of muscle mass at the temples, a sunken appearance at the abdomen and “almost absent muscle mass or subcutaneous fat on trunk and extremities.”

“Autopsy findings suggest that Walid suffered from extreme, likely prolonged malnutrition as observed by his deeply cachectic state and complaints of inadequate food intake since at least December 2024,” it said.

“His body was weakened due to malnutrition in the prisons in general,” Ahmad said.

APNews: A Palestinian from the West Bank is first detainee under 18 to die in Israeli prison, officials say

Walid’s lawyer, Firas al-Jabrini, said Israeli authorities denied his requests to visit his client in prison. But he says three prisoners held alongside Walid told him that he was suffering from dysentery, saying it was widespread among young Palestinians held at the facility.

They said Walid suffered from severe diarrhea, vomiting, headaches and dizziness, the lawyer said. He said they suspected the disease was spreading because of dirty water, as well as cheese and yogurt that prison guards brought in the morning and that sat out all day while detainees were fasting for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Independent: Palestinian teen ‘likely died from starvation in Israeli prison’

  • 17-year-old Palestinian, Walid Ahmad, likely died from starvation in an Israeli prison, according to a medical report by an Israeli doctor who observed the autopsy.
  • Ahmad, held for six months without charge, showed signs of extreme malnutrition, colitis, and scabies.
  • He had reportedly complained of inadequate food since December.

It does appear in western media and does mention the starvation and horrors. The problem is that the people in power in the west, the ones who could try to effect some change in the situation, are content to collect their money and ignore the suffering and death.

If that were an Israeli child the title would say "child starved to death by Hamas". But you are right this one was reported. I did not see the reports earlier.

Here is a recent one which fully went under the radar in Western media: Palestinian child seeking aid abducted in Gaza and thrown from roof as torture

Omar was then interrogated and ordered to provide details of his family and relatives. Dissatisfied with Omar’s responses, the interrogator subjected Omar to torture. Omar was brought to the roof of the building and tied to a rope, where he was left hanging upside down for an extended period. Later, the interrogator released the rope, causing Omar to plummet to the ground, dropping the height of roughly five floors before the rope became taut again, stopping his fall about half a meter (20 inches) above the ground, where he was left suspended for approximately 20 minutes. The torture caused Omar to urinate, as he was left struggling to breathe and suffocating. “It felt as though I was teetering on the brink of death,” recalled Omar.

idk what shitty media you're watching, but the US has tons of amazing media outlets that are covering the genocide quite well
