Besides of stuff like this, another problem with this kind of performative anti-communist activism is that they make it look like the problems of "communist" regimes were exclusive and inalienable part of communism. The great takeaway of Lysenkoism isn't "politicization of science is bad" for many, but that "we need a good politicization of science", and we then got RFK Jr.
When communism creates victims, it is failing at its intended goal. When capitalism creates victims, it is working as intended.
