Is this good because prices will decrease or bad because people are out on the street?

theoretically, rents should decrease eventually as the real estate moguls start feeling the stress of economic downturn themselves (not sure if canada as a bunch of bullshit tax writeoffs/incentives, to help real estate speculators, like the US does).
