Yup, he is a corporate shill who would hand MAGA another win.
I'd bet he could win in 2028, which is really scary. We'll be right back where we started and get a President Miller in 2032 after four more years of neoliberal bullshit. The number of Democratic voters seriously considering his run is honestly the darkest cloud in politics right now, and that says a lot.
I'll lay this out now. He won't have my vote if he is the candidate for 2028. That's non-negotiable as far as I'm concerned. We'll be more screwed if he wins than if he loses.
I'm not at all convinced this is the case. I hated Hillary, but I damn sure wish she'd been elected in 2016.
It's not even debatable at this point. Bill Clinton's presidency boosted fascism. Obama's presidency boosted fascism. Biden's presidency boosted fascism. Notice a pattern? Newsom is worse than all of those put together.
Neoliberal corporate shills are the soil that fascism grows in. Democrats made MAGA. Trump just adopted them.
I will not vote for Newsom. Demand a better candidate.
