an invasion would destroy the US and cause virtually every allied nation to dump their US treasury bonds. their economy would absolutely implode and they wouldnt be able to pay for a very unpopular war with monopoly money, soldiers dont like expanding empire into ally states for free.

even if that didnt happen (which it would, as allied nations have already agreed as much) the vast size of canada, as well as the innate identity of canadians would cause an insurrection the likes that have never been seen in modern history. vietnam ×100. theres no way they could hold it in a traditional military means. not to mention the massive risk increase for domestic terrorism and full blown civil war that comes with it.

which is why they have been attempting to strong arm canada economically. they know an invasion would fail. they know an invasion would crush their economy.

if that was not the case, i would have been born an american citizen long before trump ever took office.

Which is why it ain't gonna start with the 82nd Airborne crossing the 49th.
