When decisions are being made on who to kill, how to overthrow a government and use of lethal force; then it's absolutely a big deal to use decision making tools that are so prone to such huge errors and that works inside a blackbox.
That's exactly why they use these apps. The primary application is abdication of responsibility for atrocities.
