Why aren't we doing anything about the madman driving the trolley?
If you can reach the madman on the trolly, reach him! Right now it's just the lever, and a choice has to be made.
We're trying, but you keep not listening and saying you have to drive down one of two tracks.

We keep trying. People keep screaming "You're helping Trump!" whenever we post a TikTok about the Nakba or show up at an anti-ICE protest with our cameras on.
Hard to be the change you wish to see in the world when you've got a line of self-proclaimed moderates throwing bricks through your window because you didn't applaud Gavin Newsom loudly enough.
Are you, right now running for office or supporting someone who is? Are you doing anything IRL to get someone progressive to win the primary, or just complaining to the choir online?

Weird that the people most enthusiastic about politics always gather together to accuse one another of not participating. But it sure does feed one's sense of smugness to say it.
I see enough "don't bother voting" folks IRL too. Hour long rants patting eachother on the back over how corrupt the system they never bothered participating in is.
I've never met a person proud not to vote who hasn't spent a few decades voting to no good effect.
I do hear a lot of outspoken voters insist that gerrymandering doesn't matter and disenfranchisement is fake news, then blame a catastrophic defeat on $50 in Facebook ads
I also get an endless earful from these same folks that voters are lazy, gullible, racist, and stupid.
The overwhelming majority that I have are young people suffering from acute doomerism, which is why I hate "don't bother voting" BS. Maybe the hope hasn't been strangled out of me just yet XD
