I can't really think of a country more reliant on air travel than the US. They should all just stop turning up for work.

I'm kind of glad I didn't plan that trip to Germany, now. Been considering relocating permanently, but I need to go and look around first. Cheapest flights are around late Oct to November.
I wonder how long it would take to get there if you booked passage on a boat.
Edit for the lolz: https://www.cruisecritic.com/find-a-cruise/destination-germany/departure-port-new-york
Lol, lmao
Could someone please explain to me what this shutdown is? I thought it's only for government "meeting" for voting etc, but why it also affects federal workers?
Well shit. Looks like we have to make HSR and Transit happen now. It's definitely not a good way to get the ball rolling for it even though HSR/Trams/Trolleys/Transit are a good thing but now there is no choice really if people want to get around the country
Being in airplanes at all currently in this country is not viable
"dallas approach this is united airlines 122 request landing" air... dallas approach?

Does AF1 use civilian or military ATC? Would be hilarious if the fat bastard got grounded as a consequence.
I don't see why you would do that job if know you're going to frequently go for weeks / months without pay once every year or two, you're constantly understaffed, and you're working like this in 2025....
