Legit question, what about "you" should it be "yous"?
No, “you” can be either singular or plural in English, but sometimes you run into “y’all” or “you guys” used as the “you” plural.
Although with nonbinary folks, the “they/them” isn’t about it being a plural noun, it’s about using a gender neutral pronoun, and the singular “they” has been used that way for a long time
Cool that was my assumption actually but wanted to ask as I really don't understand the they/them mindset. Aside from like you pointed out when referring to people like "What do they think of this" or "You'd have to ask them"
Also yeah I'm southern and say y'all lol
We need to bring "thou" back.
Bring it back but exclusively for insults and rudeness
When you're getting annoyed at people you can just start thouing them
"i refuse to respect thou's pronouns so thou's pronouns are now thou/thee"
But now I am imagining in french.
Iel (neo pronoun roughly equivalent of they them) being "vouvoyer" (formal you or for multiple people) instead of "tutoyer" (informal you for a single person)
Make Burt Bees Again

Gender is a shiny object dangled in front of kids to distract them.
Don't concern yourself with something productive and meaningful. Do this pronoun bs instead.
Not really. It's the result of learning different languages and realising that English is a pretty shit, messed up language with huge limitations.
