Always be stealing from employers. They steal the excess value of your labor. Poop on the clock. Take a stapler home. Sleep when the boss isn't around.
Fyi, if you just stop responding and keep all their hardware when they lock you out of your office instantly, thus preventing you from returning said hardware (and claiming your thrift store jacket from your office), there's not really much they can do. You tried! Probably best to just sell it, surely someone needs all this photo equipment!?

I think about it every second of my vacations and time off like a good little lemming. When they destroy my livelihood and lay me off for the bottom line, I thank them for their sheer excellence and kiss their feet.
