Since Cons generally seem to support Russian aggression in Ukraine and Israeli aggression in Palestine, they'd have to support the Canadian army retaking Alberta, right? Especially if Canada captures Alberta for oil! Ain't nothing more conservative than that!

Good news is that completely ignoring public opinion is going predictably poorly for her. It just took a moment to catch up.

Time to crack out a beer. She is finally being held accountable for her horrible policies.

It's also an attack on Canadian sovereignty.

The reply I've seen is that Canadian sovereignty is an attack on democracy.

House of Commons needs reform, sure. But I think Alberta wants DEI. Diversity in leaders (more western PMs), Equity (in MPs and power) and inclusion (of their viewpoints in decision making).

So they want to use a refendum as a form of democracy to supercede sovereignty claims.

The current push for Alberta separation is an American assisted op to destabilize Canada. The separatists lost their right to make such a claim the moment they started courting foreign support. They crossed the line from separation to sedition, in my opinion.

I agree with that. Especially for those who use separatism as a stepping stone to US statehood. But unfortunately we are not arresting them for sedition.
