There is really something wrong with these people

[–] IzzyJ@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago

And nothing will be done because there's too many of them

[–] Holytimes@sh.itjust.works 0 points 3 hours ago

He lost everything else when he lost his lawsuit. I hope.

[–] leftthegroup@lemmings.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He still got one thing left to lose, and that's another story I would celebrate.

Death that has an actual positive influence, and ends negative influence should be celebrated.

Him dying would make me, all the SH families, and a lot of people that have wanted him to stfu since his first public appearance smile (positive influence), while ending his career (negative influence.

The good and bad definitions vary between people, and that's ok, different groups will celebrate different ones.

I don't agree with murder being the method they die by, until their negative influence is so high that I start to consider it an execution instead of murder.

I hope that I'm still alive and healthy enough to take my planned Piss Tour to hit up a handful of graves.

How else can you prove you're the manliest man who ever manned?

We are all Charlie Kirk

Boy, I really wish you were!

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

The irony of it all: the shooter shot Kirk becuse he wasn't him conservative enough.

[–] mrodri89@lemmy.zip 30 points 1 day ago (4 children)

I really don't get how people can see what Charlie Kirk has said and celebrate this man's message. Our country is already fallen to idiocy.

It's better to think of it more like a virtue signalling club. It's the epitome of in vs out group.

It doesn't matter what your group beleives/say, but when someone in your group beleives or say something you've gotta do it +1. So they're all trying to one up each other to be like "see I'm not one of them, I'm one of you... No actually, I'm more like you than you"

It's actually, unfortunately, a very common/normal social group interaction. Like, everyone does it, but normally in small amounts, or about harmless topics.

E.g a bunch of metal heads talking about metal bands (which coincidentally all have death in the name) "I really like 'mega death' ", "yeah but they're not as heavy as 'death'", "well they've got nothing on 'napalm death'" etc.

It's the actual terrifying result of online echo chambers. More extreme people egg each other on and get more extreme. And it's ironically what they always accuse "the left/libs" of doing

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 30 points 1 day ago

It's because to them the only thing that mattered was his in-group status. He was a "great Christian", not because he followed Jesus, but simply because he identified as such and did it loudly.

[–] EtnaAtsume@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

They don't see what he said. Most of the probably haven't actually listened to him or even thought about him before this.

But even if they had listened to him in the past, or looked him up now, the grounding bias of "he's a good person"/"he's on our side" has been established. That's a bias that's nearly intractable.

How does this prick still have money, he got sued out of existence, probably is owned by some billionaires now

Once you're a billionaire you're "in the club"

No one is allowed to be a poor again once they get "in the club"

Alex Jones went on his show the day Charlie Kirk died and within 20 minutes of the shots started exploiting the whole story for his own gains, letting the video of the shot hitting Kirk play on loop, in slowmo, "zoom in on that" while plugging his products and rambling about the left. He is a disgusting piece of shit grifter that doesn't stop exploiting people's misery, even if it's one of his own. Kirk wasn't even pronounced dead before Jones started building a narrative around it. If I were someone from Kirks family or company I would sue the living shit out of Jones for this, it is vile and disgusting even his co-host was a little taken aback by it.

Im still pissed the onion lost the bid for info wars.

[–] master_of_unlocking@lemmy.world 35 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It’s still in play! https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/13/media/infowars-alex-jones-onion-sale-texas-judge

I wish I could find the article I found the day the decision was made but it mentioned that it’s now more likely that The Onion gets it. 🤞

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's good news! Thank you

But shit. Jones still won't be going away.

Jones is free to keep broadcasting his show, and he has said he will do so under a different brand.

How do you pay for everything when you're a billion in debt?

[–] Omgpwnies@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

In Boomer Logic(TM) it's easy! Just walk into business factory company inc and demand a job, which they will obviously just hand you one, and it will pay so well that as long as you don't even think about avocado toast, you'll be a billionaire by the weekend!

"We are all kirk now"? Meaning you can now be Kirk'd by your own followers? I'm good with that! When do you start?

[–] treesquid@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Not by his own followers. It would be more like Alex Jones getting popped by a Glenn Beck fan

[–] Malfeasant@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I'll buy tickets to that...

Facists are such emotionally unstable crybabies. When they throw tantrums people die.

This meme does indeed contain someone who was the actual crisis actor all along.

Republicans keep acting like they weren’t the ones starting this trend. They were nasty towards Obama for 8 years. And Trump came in and increased the nastiness towards anybody that said anything against him.

Oh, did he have plans for his future? So does everyone gunned down by senseless violence. Including criminals. Including people of colour. Including school children. Get off your high horse you lying faker, no one cares about you or your guy anymore than you care about the hundreds of school children gunned down every year in your country. I thought this idiot lost his platform? Wasn't he forced to sell it when he lost that lawsuit about him lying and harassing children?!

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 35 points 2 days ago (1 children)

CHARLIE KIRK IS A CRISIS ACTOR!

I know he's hiding somewhere in epstein's bunker.

Such a fake. These man babies can't even practice what they preach. At least Charlie was man enough to stand up for what he believed in.

I'm genuinely surprised we haven't seen Alex Jones enter the mukbang phase of his career to try and keep attention going his way.

The next video of him filming from his car, I expect to see no fewer than 40 Dorito loco tacos fom Taco bell in his dashboard.

The left is now celebrating Charlie Kirk's brutal murder

I'm guessing there are some who do, but I can only speak for myself.

And for myself, I'm not celebrating his brutal murder. I'm mostly just very satisfied that first, he won't be spreading lies and misinformation anymore.

Second, that it's apparently right on right violence. The left isn't responsible and it's the right's violent rhetoric that is giving them all of this grief.

Third, that an evil person got his comeuppance in a manner consistent with his own rhetoric, and so all of the right's hypocrisy is exposed.

Fourth, that the shooter's engraving on his ammunition show pretty clearly that he's been failed by the education system and has succumbed to the sort of memeing brain rot that has become our modern plague, so I get to talk about that.

Charlie Kirk was simply a person who improved a room by his absence. And now, he's gone for good.
