Man, if this guy has access to a Mac, Spotlight's gonna blow his mind.
Alfred beats the pants off Spotlight as a launcher. Because of the custom actions, in particular.
FYI on a Mac you just type βopenβ and give it the file name. Works with any file.
Not sure how this works on Linux because I only use it via the cli
xdg-open seems to do the same in Linux, since βxdg-utilsβ oversee file associations.
I remember the feeling when I first used a GUI to "run" a "program" instead of using an interpreter. It felt like a pain in the ass.
