Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Republicans always trying to flip the cards... their forced non-voted redraw in Texas was racist and they try to claim this VOTED for by the people is racist? Get the fuck out of here. GOP are so god damn stupid. I hope they're ready for the blue wave and I hope dems are ready to rip it...

The redraw in Texas was deemed to be racist by the courts but they slow walked it long enough such that they were allowed to move forward with those redrawn lines for the midterms. Their mission was accomplished.

I’ve been waiting for that wave for thirty years. Most Americans wouldn’t know a good idea if it was giving them a blowjob. And most Americans are so Fox News brained they’ll vote for every bad idea they see.

Well, they voted for this redistricting which was a good idea so already you’re wrong.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 days ago

That’s not a blue wave.

What's this? From the top rope, it's the SCOTUS!!! OHHH MAN!! Party line ruling deciding that no, California cannot do this because they're not Republicans. Only Republicans can redistrict for political benefit.

[–] myserverisdown@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I could be mistaken, but since this is a state level issue wouldn't it rather go to the state supreme court?

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

It happened with Texas and the SCOTUS ruled that it was too close to the election to change their maps back to what they should have been.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 5 points 5 days ago

Haha yeah bitches! I voted for this!

It doesn't benefit solely white child rapers. So of course it's racist. 🙃

Tf is the US central district court chiming in? They lack jurisdiction
