Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Here's a mirror of icelist.is. Make them famous

https://archive.is/66IOW

[–] SpankyDoodle@eviltoast.org 62 points 4 days ago

And ruin their lives

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

FYI, you don't need a backup. It's being blocked at the DNS level. Look into public DNS servers like Akamai's 1.1.1.1 (I'm not sure which all servers are blocking it)

[–] chocrates@piefed.world -1 points 4 days ago

Did we determine if ice list is legit yet? With the dos attack and releasing it as a website is kinda weird

[–] OshagHennessey@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago

I say we dox this asshole instead

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 44 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He was on Meet The Press last Sunday, and she actually asked him about his bribery scandal cover-up, and what he did with the money, several times. Usually they just ignore the 800 pound gorilla sitting there, but she kept poking it, and he got really pissy, and claimed there was no money, and none of it happened.

I doubt they'll let him back on a talk show again anytime soon.

[–] hateisreality@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He won't come on a talk show soon

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 4 days ago

These Dumb Apes love to hear themselves talk, and they always think they won the argument.

Behold the violence inherent to the system

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago

Help help! We've been repressed for decades but some people are waking up to it.

I mean the metaphor isnt bad. these knuckle draggers essentially hijacked a very complex system that was designed by much smarter people and they dont actually understand how it works

[–] TrojanRoomCoffeePot@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Thank you for making me laugh until my sides hurt, I needed that.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

From the first moment I saw that guy...

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago

He says it as if being known as a protestor would be a bad thing.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago

Bet this bloated frog is just butthurt that data is leaking on the people in the ICEstapo.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

This guy looks like he isn't getting enough fiber in his anus.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 11 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Note that he isn't making a list of people convicted of anything, or even charged with anything. He wants a database of anyone arrested. As we well know, you don't have to do anything at all to be arrested.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Yeah, in this case, "obstructing" will mean: filming them, blowing whistles or honking horns, being openly liberal or openly gay, or having the wrong stickers on your car, or not wearing a Taco t-shirt and hat, or making any of them feel bad about themselves...

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 15 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I don't think this is going to have the effect they are intending.

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It would. Employers are fully on the side of ice and Maga and will retaliate against employees.

[–] sauerkrautsaul@lemmus.org 7 points 4 days ago (2 children)

huh? as if employers are one monolithic institution

[–] chocrates@piefed.world 8 points 4 days ago

My last boss would have my back, I'm skeptical of my new one. But fuck it. If I get fired for standing up to fascism that is better than getting shot

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Bro capitalists aren't an ethnic group. You're allowed to generalize them because they do tend to only act in one way which is to secure short term profit.

They hire illegal immigrants to get short term profit. They'll sell them out to get short term profit. Show me one that doesn't and I'll show you a noncompetitive business.

[–] sauerkrautsaul@lemmus.org 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Youre allowed to lump people together and say whatever you'd like if its not an ethnic group.

You are not allowed to criticize a group thats exclusively able to be identified by it's ethnic makeup.

Got it, thank you!

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Neither of those things are a company. Guess I get to call it em what they are then. "Not your fucking buddies"

[–] sauerkrautsaul@lemmus.org 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

look guy, all im saying is someone who hires someone else is an employer. that does not make them a right winger.

if you had of said "the heads of most large companies support right wing leaders" I wouldnt have said a word

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 0 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Alright. I'm explaining this poorly, I'll try again.

This is basically some deep-cut arcane lore at this point so I won't pretend like it's unusual for you not to know this but maybe just put some feelers out there: Not everyone supporting ICE is right wing. But they all are capitalists.

[–] sauerkrautsaul@lemmus.org 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

god damn you come off like a prick. are you aware of this?

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 0 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

It's the internet. Most people are pissed off at the beginning of an interaction and just looking to roleplay something for the catharsis. Being pleasant won't get you out of that, but the block button is right there 👇

Edit: there? 👆👉

[–] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Cancel culture a-okay again then?

[–] Turret3857@infosec.pub 13 points 4 days ago (1 children)

protest your local flock Cameras.

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 13 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Submit FOIA requests for their data

Bonus points if the request is for data relating to people in power in your city that could have the Flock contract cancelled. FOIA requests are very effective at having the cameras removed

[–] Turret3857@infosec.pub 4 points 4 days ago

Can you link how to submit a FOIA? Ive been wanting to do this for a while but ive felt somewhat intimidated.

[–] Cyberflunk@lemmy.world 11 points 4 days ago

PISS RESISTANCE

Tom should feel the warmth of real American Piss

[–] scootypuff@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago

Tom Homan is a bitch.

[–] handsoffmydata@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 days ago

And good ole Tim Walz is begging protesters to take their cell phone with them to protests. Make it make sense.

[–] grimpy@lemmy.myserv.one 8 points 4 days ago

Tom ‘Mumbles’ Homunculus has spoken (sort of!)

[–] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 days ago

Tom Homan sound like a made up name by a cat who is secretly controlling him inside a robot suit.

Also Tom Homan looks like Harvey Weinstein to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
