The nordic countries are saying to Canada that our defense requires the whole population to be part of the country's resilience to economic, natural and military disasters.

Canada pretends to have heard the message with several hundred thousand volunteer force.

Yet for decades they have been attacking the peaceful and largely patriotic small arms industry that had a fledgling domestic manufacturing capacity. One hopes we learn the lesson here really fucking quickly.
