In response to one X post, saying, “Austin ISD let kids out of school, with a police escort to, protest ICE at the Capitol” – Abbott responded, “AISD gets taxpayer dollars to teach the subjects required by the state, not to help students skip school to protest.”

AISD shared in letters to parents and on social media that the walkouts were not sponsored or endorsed by the school. In the message, the district said it would not stop students from participating and had officers present to assist with security.

Again proving they are not after "paid agitators", but people exercising free speech.

Honestly very curious how Texas politics unfold in the next few years, because the state government leaning so hard into this fascistic shit has got to be tanking their popularity in a lot of places they thought they had on lock.

Then again, all the rural fuckwits are probably cheering this shit on.

Literally today they lost multiple state senate seats, with more elections to come this year.

Yeah, it was over 30 points of swing in a huge upset. Republicans were confident they had it, by like 17 points. Then a democrat won in like a 13 point lead. That kind of upset should be a massive wake up call for republicans. But only time will tell if they actually adjust their messaging to try and avoid losing more.

They lost a federal house seat since my last post and your reply. The wave is coming.

Well I call for the trial, conviction, and public hanging of the Texas governor for conspiracy against rights.
