These people are living in a fantasy world where lowering rates is somehow going to make inflation/stagflation better? Seems like some sort of compromise from the Fed to get Trump (who wants to borrow money) off their back. Newsflash: Trump is not going to stop.

No it won't but right now they are probably recognizing that the economy is teetering on the edge and want to try and give it a boost. I think it's a futile effort but that is prob the reasoning
