Trump is fine (midwest.social)
submitted 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) by Mobilityfuture@lemmy.world to c/usa@midwest.social

I’m watching Trump, who was MIA for a week, giving a speech in England.

Contrary to popular reports of his demise, he is his usual “charming” self. Very aware and on track across reporters questions.

He may have had some golf outings or medical appointments last week, but this guy does not have dementia and looks in good health.

The left has grossly misrepresented and under estimated the enemy. Be very careful at grasping for straws and wishful thinking in this environment. The left needs to organize and plan for a strong administration across four years. Hate seems to be a fountain of youth for people of a certain constitution. Look at Kissinger. Learn from history. Don’t be complacent.

but this guy ..... looks in good health.

I'm lost for words. Either you desperately want to believe it, or you missed the appointment at the optician, or we need to redefine healthy.

That's not the speech or the creepy grandpa I watched on television. Maybe you watched the fox news edit with A.I. enhancement.

Good call on the AI video (that wasn’t this speech FWIW) - yes that was messed up. Maybe he did have a mini stroke, but he looks fine today.

Just saying guys, I think you are at the risk of deluding yourself with wishful thinking.

Irrespective of that man’s Big Mac count.

Just do not be complacent - that’s my ask to you

Nope. I was not talking about a week ago. I was referring to watching him embarrass himself and our country on foreign soil yesterday. I didn't see anything even passable as fine in his cosplay as a human being.

What about the face drooping? Strokes don't inspire confidence in health.

Let's not act like his words are proper English either. I've never seen him speak logically. It's always a slurry of semi (sometimes not) related clauses that together don't say anything significant.

This aids with recall if you don't need to remember exact facts (remember that biggly 300 million number) and it's absolutely a sign someone is masking mental decline. It doesn't mean he has dementia, but the effectual difference on a bad day is meaningless at a state event.

Does this look like a sane, healthy man?

Assuming this guy is healthy is being complacent.
