He did this in September.

Is antifa an organization at all?

[–] IntrovertTurtle@lemmy.zip 29 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No. It's a strawman for Trump to imprison anyone that talks bad about him or his actions.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 8 points 2 months ago

Ah, yeah. I forgot about that part

I am antifa, and I'm completely disorganized.

Does he define what a "domestic terrorist organization" is, because at the moment its a made up term without a legal definition of any kind.

[–] taco@anarchist.nexus 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

"Domestic terrorism" has a legal definition, so it's not a huge stretch that a "domestic terrorist organization" would be an organization that does that.

Antifa isn't one (or even an organization), but that's a separate argument.

Want to cite the legal definition of a "domestic terrorist"?

[–] taco@anarchist.nexus 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Not really. You're clearly online, so read it yourself.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Your realize that your link doesn't define a domestic terrorist, right?

[–] taco@anarchist.nexus 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Most laws don't have separate definitions for both the crime and the people who commit them. But, of course you'd already know that if you were making an effort to understand something rather than whining into the void.

Really? Even something that the United States can "designate" someone as? You want to keep giving stupid unqualified advice?

You know how someone gets designated as an offender of a crime? By being convicted of violating it. That isn't what happened here, or are you really too fucking stupid to understand that?

Make no mistake, they’ve done this plenty times. The only difference is that it affects Red&Blue Nazis now.
