Was waiting on the seat count update:
Jeneroux's floor-crossing brings the Liberals seat count in the House of Commons to 169 Liberal MPs, against the 171 opposition MPs.
There are three vacancies: the seats held by former Liberals Chrystia Freeland and Bill Blair, and the recently vacated Montreal-area riding of Terrebonne, after the Supreme Court of Canada on Friday annulled the results of the closely contested race from last spring's election.

I don't know how his constituents will feel about this, but I shed no tears for his caucus.
It was about a 45/50 split, with most of the rest going NDP in Edmonton Riverbend, so about half of his constituents voted "left" anyway. Cons won, but, in a sane system, the area would have had some sort of Liberal/"left" representation, too.
Just reminder that the former BC Conservative leader Rustad was voted remain as leader September 2025 with 70.66% votes and was ousted by December.
Pierre and the Conservative backroom leaders setup their conference the same week as the Ontario Conservatives, held it in Calgary with a $1000 requirement and people needed to vote in person. Guess we'll see how democratic that process really was and people tolerance for Pierre.
