Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I don't give a shit about the end of MAGA, I want to see the rise of the left Tea Party. There far more left / sane people than those fascist turds. They just organize way better.

[–] mattyroses@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

There was thar, in 2016 and 2020. The party defeated it.

[–] btsax@reddthat.com 9 points 2 days ago

Please. The "revolt" is just some angry tweets as usual. Nothing will matter. Website needs clicks. Democrats will whiff. Sun rises. Etc

First of all bullshit. Cults gonna cult. This is how they do.

Second of all - is rawstory unaware they're spewing bullshit?

Third of all - who among us is thinking "oh yeah that's right - MAGA's totally over now" ??

yeah they lose a few former Obama voters. Big whoop.

This is a stupid fucking headline.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 2 days ago

Talk is cheap. They'll still vote MAGA over ANY Democrat.

Wake me up when his numbers fall below the Sarah Palin/Nixon Resignation Floor.

There are a certain set of people that support Republicans no matter what they do.

Even if Republicans completely reverse themselves on things like elective wars (Pedonald attacking and/or threatening to attack several countries), taxes (tariffs for everyone!), and deficits (see Cheney's comments on deficits).

Yeah right, they live for this shit

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

It would be amazing if his own feral magats throw his stupid ass into a wood chipper. I’d watch that video on loop for days

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

I knew he'd do this shit on a Saturday. I can't prove it because I don't recall saying it out loud or typing it, but for weeks I've been thinking when Trump invades Greenland or Canada or Iran or somewhere, it's gonna be Saturday

[–] Tempus_Fugit@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Yeah right. Republicans are dumb sheep. They'll all fall in like the lapdogs they are. Despicable traitors.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 2 points 2 days ago

Again. Didn't epsein destroy them. Also its republicans. Maga is modern republicans, so is qanon, so was the tea party. They line up around any nutters that seem to drive elections. This is their brand there is not going back only shutding down and putting up a new shingle if they can find enough actual values to build something from the ground up and don't just immediately betray any values. You have to build some capital before you start leveraging it.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Doubtful. MAGA was always revolting, in all senses of the word.

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

At this point I don't think they're going to turn ON him. But all they need to do is turn away from him. Then it's every Republican for themselves, and they'll scapegoat him (hopefully).
