It's just much easier to stop using them. Remember: its founder and largest shareholder (I guess) was one of the billionaire groupies standing behind Trumd during his inauguration. Canadians should not be shopping on Amazon.

How strange that this is not seen as a punishable offense? I'm not Canadian, not familiar with sedition laws there, but there are countries where articles like these would put you in jail immediately.

Edit: Maybe someone with legal experience can explain it using this as reference: https://www.criminalcodehelp.ca/offences/crimes-against-authority/what-is-sedition/ ?

Although I disagree with the items being sold I wouldn't want to live in a country where you'd go to jail because of it.

Better not join USA then ;)

Try selling/saying/teaching/thinking something pro Palestine in the united states (are they even a real country when it's just a bunch of gay states in a civil union?) and see what happens.

Rule #1: companies have no ethics. Ever.

The only way Amazon will change is if it costs them more than it makes them.

The answer is to boycott them. Cancel your Prime subscription. Find other retailers, or do without. And do NOT go back as soon as they capitulate.

Companies need to understand that shitty behaviour will lose them customers for life.

Economists are the least moral people from any field. My economist friend agrees. They see money as a number, not as a resource people need to survive.

An economist may agree with the statement: "A starving honebee requires more honey to recover than it will produce in its life. Therefore saving it is a waste."

What the statement lacks, is context. Why is the bee starving to begin with? They eat nectar from flowers. So there aren't enough around. Humans are good at mowing their lawns and placing tiles in their gardens instad of anything useful. Another part is, where is their honey? The bee's life saving they use to survive winter? Who took it? The humans. And who has the audacity to define the life of a single bee by it's ability to produce honey? The human.

Now swap worker bee with working class, human with the rich, and honey with money.

"Oh these people require medical aid? As if their labour is worth the investment in ther health!"

Remember, any person providing a service to society, is a valuable person. Be it store cleric or garbage man.

How about Canadians stop using Amazon

Way ahead of you...

Does anyone need yet another reason to cancel their Amazon account?

[–] InEnduringGrowStrong@sh.itjust.works 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

They'll even reimburse you in prorata your remaining subscription term. Literally no reason to wait before canceling right fucking now.

[–] ThePrivacyPolicy@lemmy.ca 1 points 11 months ago

Argue enough and you can sometimes even get the full term back! I did! Really laid into them about their union busting and political donations.
