Look at Biden, Obama, and Clinton, blowing all that money, running up the national debt. We should elect a Republican to end the Waste, Fraud, and Abuse®.

Lol right. As if they won't saddle it all on the next Democrat
Why bother, it’s all bidens fault already.
Democrat? Next?
You believe they'll allow elections?
Republicans on Capitol Hill are preparing to confront a staggering price tag for the war in the Middle East after closed-door briefings this week detailed the rapid consumption of expensive munitions and the lack of any firm deadline for the end of the military campaign.
If only there was some sort of a resolution they could have done to stop this abuse of the power to make war, a sort of war powers resolution, if you will.
That's a truly insane number
Can we just have healthcare?
Can we just have healthcare?
Whoa whoa, calm down there buddy, who are the military industrial complex and corporations going to exploit if people are well taken care of?
No, we have brown people to kill.
Senior Republicans privately expect President Donald Trump’s administration to request tens of billions of dollars for the Middle East conflict and other military needs from Congress in the coming days, with some GOP lawmakers hearing estimates that the Pentagon is spending as much as $2 billion a day on the war.
Hmmm no, bit you can have empty pockets and fight a war against the world to protect a pedophile
quick estimate because i’ve seen this a few times:
australia spends ~$279b/y on health (~$190b usd)
australia is roughly the population of texas at 27.6m
us population is 340m
so all things being equal that’s $2.2t usd for the us population
so after 6y at war you could have had 1y of healthcare
ngl i was really hoping it’d be closer :(
(but of course this is bullshit anyway because yall already pay for healthcare, and lives extinguished vs lives saved etc etc… thus the “all things being equal” like circular cow in a vacuum)
Right now we are pay more than that already but privately, so it's actually a drag on the economy.
Government can spend basically any amount of money it wants. It would be an investment in citizens.
Neoliberals would never let that happen
yeah i completely agree with that part… just i think in terms of costs i wanted to know for real if its a good argument, and figured id document it
yall have some of the highest per capita healthcare costs in the world, and some of the worst health outcomes among peer economies. “too expensive” and “better quality” are both terrible arguments based on the reality of the situation (lol reality… because that matters)
… but it’s also interesting to put into perspective: that $2b/day doesn’t even come close to healthcare costs (although… it’s not an order of magnitude off, so there’s that i guess)
Anything is better than what we have. I'm in Korea, which has a public-private mix. It works really well overall, and is vastly cheaper for the average person than USA healthcare. They have public insurance, which includes dental and vision. Even if you're uninsured, most things are cheap
Didn't they have to "borrow" from social security last time? Oh, right, this how they justify the theft of every remaining safety net, gotcha.
Yeah, we knew that already, the economics of using a $5,000,000 missile to shoot down a $40,000 drone is idiotic. None of that is a shock, that math is being demonstrated in Ukraine already. If you knew that why would you start a war where you had no other alternatives?
And to you dumbasses in Congress/the Senate, YOU HAD A CHANCE TO VOTE AGAINST THIS VIA THE WAR POWERS RESOLUTION BUT YOU CHOSE NOT TO! Now we are stuck fighting a war that does not benefit us, was unnecessary, and will cost us in lives, money, and security because no one wants to associate with sociopaths... That doesn't even include the horrors we are inflicting on the innocent civilians over there.
The lessons that were not learned in GW1, GW2, Iraq, Afghanistan, are still fucking us.
This is really the US military's achilles' heel. Sure, they have the best toys but all of that comes at a cost and more dependencies on supply chains that can be exploited.
That and thier leadership is better suited conducting war on a playstation than in real life.
And said leadership does not see a difference.
There needs to be aovement in the US where literally NO ONE running for re-election gets voted back in.
Replace EVERYONE in there at the moment. Even if you think your current person is the one good one, obviously they aren't effective enough.
Doesn't matter the party, do not make it us vs them. Make it the people vs the government.
Just make a movement to completely replace everyone and make it clear to them that if they do not listen, their jobs are not safe.
Broader primaries where 2 candidates get through for each party, then ranked choice voting in the main election would go a long way to that but at this point. I think the rot/stupidity/corruption/malevolence may be terminal at this point without some major wake up or change.
They're gonna use all of our munitions, say we can't just be on empty, then just keep repeating...
Because the real problem isn't just the Iran war, it's that this admin can't be trusted to do anything.
Pretending it's not gonna keep getting worse doesn't help anyone. The only way we'll be able to financially recover from all this shit, is taxing the wealthy.
The real problem is that America is a late stage capitalist dictatorship collapsing under the weight of its own corruption into a totalitarian fascist dictatorship.
That's why Israel's genocide has been allowed to exist for the last 80 years. That's why the crime against humanity of the US healthcare system is allowed to exist. This psychopathic-mental-illness-as-a-political-ideology and narcissism-as-an-economic-system is why every western "democracy" has been backsliding towards dystopian hellholes for the last 50+ years.
The collapse of America (and the west) will not stop until all Nazi parties and corporate-controlled opposition are removed from power. Though I doubt the Epstein class will accept defeat without going scorched earth and murdering every antifascist who opposes them. That's why they're hellbent on building fully autonomous killbots. Once human labor can be fully replaced I am 100% certain these psychopaths will mass murder several billion of the worlds poorest, and enslave the rest; that's what I would do if I possessed the total lack of empathy they pontificate with pride (other than the entirely performative thoughts and prayers).
The collapse of America will stop until both the American Nazi party and corporate-controlled opposition are removed from power.
I mean, we got halfway there a year ago...
People just want to ignore we saved the DNC, because billionaire owned talking heads on their TVs haven't said it.
Instead they want people to think it's hopeless to try and depress dem primary turnout in a last ditch effort for neoliberals to seize back control.
It's fucking weird to see so many people finally agree with what I've been saying for decades, but concerning so many picked it up so feverently almost the second it stopped being true.
People just want to ignore we saved the DNC, because billionaire owned talking heads on their TVs haven't said it.
I get what you're trying to say but I think it's totally reasonable for people to expect more proof that this is true than "the new DNC chair has said some nice things", especially considering the fact that Schumer and Jefferies are still out there doing the same old bullshit
but I think it’s totally reasonable for people to expect more proof that this is true than “the new DNC chair has said some nice things”,
I absolutely agree with that statement...
I'm just disappointed so many people are managing to stay ignorant of all the other stuff.
Like, even as much as I get tired of explaining the same thing, you didn't even ask, you just assumed nothing has materialized.
because billionaire owned talking heads on their TVs haven’t said it.
Like bro...
You're literally what I'm complaining about, especially because when given an opportunity to ask, you just go back to that "billionaires ain't told me nothin" well again...
Just why?
Why are people so happy not knowing shit? Seriously, in general why do you care so little to not even ask and just repeated propaganda again? This is bigger than just you, I want to understand why others do what you're doing.
There's still time to help some of you before it's too late for all of us.
lol OK. Share some examples if that's what you want to do. I'm not sure why it's my job to prod you to say what you want to say.
Just why?
Welp, if you're not gonna tell me the only thing I can learn from you in exchange, kinda doesn't seem worth it
I usually don't downvote people to encourage discussion but this was so thoroughly pointless that you've earned them
They can afford it. Their lifestyle won’t even register any changes.
What?
If their lifestyle doesn't change, then we're still not taxing them enough...
I don't think you understand how large the divide is, their lifestyles 100% need to change, and not just the ones who have over a billion in assets.
I suppose they'll just have to cut the food stamps.
doge already did.
and snap. and foreign aid.
wonder how much there's left before they have to start raiding the subsidies we give to coal and petroleum companies.
lol no
The military-industrial-oil complex grinds on like always, transferring wealth from labor to owners. It's the entire point, and not a problem at all.
