Republicans: "Gas has never been cheaper! Tr*mp said so!"

Well, if he dies, he dies.

[–] hitstun@feddit.online 89 points 1 day ago (3 children)

May include: A sticker featuring a photo of a man in a suit pointing upwards with the text \"I DID THAT!\" printed below

It's about time I invest in sticker sheets for gas pumps.

Add "...to distract from the epstein files"

[–] partofthevoice@lemmy.zip 4 points 21 hours ago

Can we zoom out a bit, change the text to “Look at that,” and show he’s holding a folder labeled “Epstein” behind his back?

And MAGA were like “yeah, screw the libtards!”

Idiots.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 8 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

meanwhile all the magas i know have been buying bigger and bigger vehicles, and all the liberals i know have been buying smaller cars and bikes.

yeah, i wonder who's gonna feel the pain of gas prices, high or low.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

They are the first to whine about gas prices not being $1 a gallon to fill their LED festooned brodozer.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

And then when gas prices drop too low, they whine about the economy of Texas collapsing

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Low gas prices are WOKE

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 5 points 21 hours ago

What? Are you implying i can't afford gas? I'll take another loan to own the libs

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 94 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Good thing trump supporters don't drive giant gas guzzlers...

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 43 points 1 day ago

Doesn't matter. They'll let him fuck their wives. Their kids too.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They will eat newspaper salad before they give up their brodozers.

Doesn't seem like a guy who thinks he has to worry about the midterms. Wonder why.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The way he's attacking everyone and talking about doing more, I think he might have some news about his health that he hasn't shared.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 9 points 23 hours ago

I think he rigged 24 and is not worried because they're just going to rig '26 too. Everyone in Congress on that side of the aisle is acting like there are no consequences for their actions these days, and most likely, there aren't.

[–] deacon@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Username too apt.

It wouldn’t change a thing.

He’s just the symptom of something bigger and way more entrenched in American society.

You need to understand that Trump is the fall guy for Stephen Miller, Peter Thiel, and all their billionaires and NRx friends who are the ones whispering in his ear. He doesn’t come up with any of that stuff.

The moment he falls, another one will rise.

[–] uienia@lemmy.world 4 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

The thing is they haven't decided who that "other one" will be, and they all want to be it. There is going to be a lot of bloodfighting to be king after the king dies, and it should be added that none of them hold the puzzling stranglehold over the average Republican voter as Trump has.

So while it is of course true that Trump is too stupid to come up with most of the shit happening during his presidency, the complete control that they enjoy during it is not a given without him.

[–] tristan@tarte.nuage-libre.fr 1 points 16 hours ago

While I do agree that Trump gone could cost the movement its charismatic leader and weaken it, I don’t agree with the fact that everyone is going to fight to become « the king ». As I said, it’s mostly a symbolic role meant as a scapegoat should anything go south with the public opinion. The true masterminds behind this, which I mentioned one comment above, do not want to appear on the front stage.

More likely than not, they’re looking at Vance as the dunce to replace the dunce. Not sure how popular he’ll be without a massive psyops, though. Perhaps some Trump offspring has its chance there.

He's never in his life had to make the decision to either put gas in his car or pay his utilities / buy groceries. So not surprising that he doesn't care.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'm sure he doesn't remember ever having to put gas in his own car at all

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I doubt he's ever done so.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Does he even know how to drive?

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He drives a Teslur, it's all computer.

[–] zurohki@aussie.zone 9 points 1 day ago

As the owner of a non-Tesla EV, it's pretty great. And not paying weekly tribute to some fuck in the Middle East is also nice.

They will still blame it on Biden or some shit.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

I'm seeing these asshats still doing it as recently as just a few days ago.

These jagoffs were handed an economy that was called the envy of the world and kept acting like things were absolutely dire and total misery.

They are saying some truly Orwellian level bullshit, and the sad thing is that a whole lot of RW idiots and a lot of reactionary centrists go right along with this.

[–] tempest@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago

It works, why would they stop?

Trump supporters are about to start finding out why so many of us were sounding the alarm.

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 19 points 1 day ago (2 children)

No they aren't. They're beyond help. They'll never realize.

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 5 points 16 hours ago

"The salient fact of American politics is that there are fifty to seventy million voters each of who will volunteer to live, with his family, in a cardboard box under an overpass, and cook sparrows on an old curtain rod, if someone would only guarantee that the black, gay, Hispanic, liberal, whatever, in the next box over doesn't even have a curtain rod, or a sparrow to put on it."

This quote has always rung true. They do not care how bad they are hurt, as long as someone else is hurt worse.

Remind them constantly that come vote time they are once again voting for the price of gas and eggs. Because they are the ones that did it. Republicans did it.

Also that Trump begged other countries to send eggs to USA.

[–] CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sadly we live in a world where the Red Hatted Klan is ok with him fucking children but they’ll probably lose their shit when gas hits 4$ a gallon

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Some of them will blame it on Biden and/or "trans for everybody" and keep right on prostrating themselves before the PEDOnald altars they probably have in their houses.

[–] CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

Sadly you’re not wrong Mr Darwin

We shall tell him the same thing when he complains about rising billionaire taxes

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 day ago

He never cared to lower them. Eggs, too. He doesn’t care about anyone other than who he sees in his mirror.

[–] Concave1142@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Anybody else see pictures of Biden on gas pumps pointing to the price saying "I did that!"?

It would be a real shame if someone did the same thing with Trump's face.
