I'm a simple man, I just need one like and that makes me happy.

You are at 2 which means 1 like, I don't want to ruin that for you.

[–] dumbass@piefed.social 2 points 4 days ago

its starting to get a bit overwhelming now.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

That would mean I had to interact with 15 people.

Yeah, but what about downvotes?

That's like 15 people walking up to you to say "I liked that, thank you", but then one person comes up to you, calls you a cunt and punches you in the face.

Yeah righto, cunt 👊💥

Imagine, 20 people standing in front of you saying "Good job", but there are 25 more who have to tell you that they don't like what you are doing instead of minding their own business... That's the average social media with down votes enabled.

I do too. 700 people might not seem like a lot, but 900 people actually is

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 days ago

I fixed it, so people won't know how funny that is, lol. No /s

That’s the danger of social media imo. Constant ambient parasocial relationships online leading to reduced interaction with the real world due to mental reconditioning.

[–] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Less exciting if it's 15 bots

[–] Beth@piefed.social 6 points 4 days ago

No kidding. Long ago during my Imgur days, I got 700+. I figure that was my 15 minutes of fame or something.

15/8,000,000,000 isn't that bad.

Clearly, 8,000,000,000 people must disagree with you, as they didnt all agree.....

Yeah but look where he lives. There's hardly anyone there. He'd be lucky to get 1 like IRL.

[–] palmtrees2309@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Didn't thought I would see Abhijeet from CID on Lemmy.

[–] GreenShimada@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

Hey, thanks for posting this.

I’d be creeped out if 300 people I didn’t invite were tearing at me. Go away.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

If you posted a video where 300 people have access, then you invited them. If you have an event where you want people to look at you in a similar way, then you invited them.

15 likes is a lot for lemmy. 15 followers on the game btd6 is ridiculous.

15 likes on a popular social media isnt that much since so many more people are going to see the post that are way more likely to give a like compared to giving a complement irl
