Sadly its more inspired by reality. There are enough tweets and public speeches to train on. The bar for the LLM to pass would be really low since some say the original has already enough negative qualities of LLMs. I deem the current people at power to be corrupt and insane enough to actually do it.
This is the point of Capitalism we have reached. Instead of laying people off you just encourage them to commit suicide instead.
