"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Obviously anti palantir and anti military here but my understanding of the federal tax system and how spending works is they actually fund all this stuff before taxes come in, having a sovereign currency and central bank has vastly changed the structure of taxation on the federal level(unlike local propertytaxes for examplewhich function in the traditional way ), this is a MMT take but it makes sense to me

Basically there is always money for war because they can spend whatever they want

And what does it have to do with AI?

the AI bubble is being propped up so Palantir, an AI company, together with other world governments can build police surveillance states

I love the username, and the post. Good to bring awareness. Do you have a source?

the source is in the bottom right, the free thought project

And that's just America.

But to defuse the paranoia a little, they said the same about the most recent, disturbingly powerful, global PMC: G4S. Not much actually happened yet as a result of G4S power. Which, as it turns out, also uses Palantir systems.
