Yeah. It's a shame, I heard there used to be some great porn material there.

After reddit did that mobile app stunt - I created a firefox addon to help reddit refugees move to lemmy:

This also worked for me for the longest time. I recently stopped using Reddit (as we all should) but if you gotta use it at least use old.reddit.com/r/subredditname

The second old.reddit goes away, I have a feeling a lot of people will jump off reddit. Probably why they haven't killed it yet

Perfect, I might even set my UA for reddit to mobile then, I need an "excuse" to keep on using it less. I still browse it without an account but I should lose the habit.

Next, they will stop allowing to register with random email without confirmation

Edit: jut found out they already did it lol. Then next step will be to require phone number for all new accounts

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 12 points 1 day ago (3 children)

They used to not require email at all. Did that change?

So much information will be lost by locking it behind an app. I hope lemmy is ok answering 20 years worth of reddit questions because we are going to need to document all that information somewhere.

It's pushing this user to not use them any more.

Well - I guess I'll just skip the occasional visit to their site then. Had no account anymore anyways. gfys spez

I expect another migration from reddit to lemmy. I'm not saying we are going to explode, but expect some new people in the next few weeks.

This app has been going to shit but the fact that they shut Apollo down and permabanned me for criticizing the USA government sealed the deal

[–] EatMyPixelDust@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 21 hours ago

Good, makes it easier to leave that garbage heap of a website.
