This app has been going to shit but the fact that they shut Apollo down and permabanned me for criticizing the USA government sealed the deal

Noticed that a couple weeks ago. Does it for Duckduckgo and Firefox but not for Chrome.
About the same time they killed r/All and sorting by top/hour.
I float back and forth between reddit and lemme since the mass exodus but this is probably going to be the end of reddit for me.
Good, makes it easier to leave that garbage heap of a website.

Fuck Reddit and Fuck Spez.
I'm glad the fediverse exists. People really ought to move on from Reddit and big tech in general ... Where possible.

I saw this recently, it had an X button to close for me.
Not the first time, they seem to do that like once a year in my experience.
On my (Android) device, the recent blocking is already gone again, having lasted about two weeks.
It is a common strategy: first fix them on, then make life inconvenient for them to push for the next stage (be it app installation, more screen time or paying for stuff).
Seems like Reddit has moved on to the next "fixing on" stage again.
God, and the app actually sucks such a bag of dicks. I use it as infrequently as I possibly can because it actively fights me trying to get what I need from it.
I'm using a patched infinity but it kind of depends if you ever made an api key or not I think. Morphe I think can patch the official reddit app but I wouldn't want to use it even patched if I'm honest.
I'm still using a patched Boost.
