This is just insane speculative babbling, you could just as well make the exact same argument for genetically designed mutations.
It's just bullshit that we MUST fuse with digital machinery to survive, and in no way is relevant at this point.
Because we simply don't have the technologies to make it an attractive proposal, and we are very far from it.
Arguing we should fuse our minds with strong AI, is essentially arguing that we should allow our minds to be partially controlled and constantly influenced by this fused AI.
That looks like the first step of becoming like Borgs from Star trek, that end up losing their individuality.

IMO Sam Altman can just go fuck himself, he doesn't know shit about what he is talking about. He just has "visions" probably induced by toxic vapors or something with similar effect.

Yeah, let's just kill him instead

Many billionaires want the world to become unstable, to have civilisation collapse while they are chilling in their massive bunker. Then to rebuild the world the way they like after that. It's why they are all building these huge bunker complexes on Hawaii and New Zealand, among other places.

Evangelicals same thing. They believe in a prophecy claiming the end of the world will come after a conflict in the middle east between the Jewish and Islamic groups, causing global nuclear destruction. The apocalypse. When that happens, Jesus will return and they will all go to heaven. So they actively want this to happen, so they can go to heaven. And super influencial people already have been very close to the US nuclear launch key. They collect money for Israel to support their war, even though they don't like jews, but it is an attempt to make their prophecy come true.

These people are complete nut jobs and extremily dangerous. They have people in very high places. Also, how would they go to heaven if they support violence, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Jesus said "do no harm" right? They are so fucking dumb yet a very serious threat to many, if not all.

Ai psychosis. Never get high on your own supply.

[–] Psiczar@aussie.zone 1 points 40 minutes ago

No, he’s just a salesman who has something to sell and he is working hard to sell it. “Humanity will die out unless you buy my product!”

He also has competition so he needs to stay relevant, which is why he makes these grand statements that get media attention.

Please use one of the countless templates that doesn’t involve a fucking creep.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 14 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Absolutely fair call and noted.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 4 points 34 minutes ago

Use the one with the sunglasses girl far superior version. Yes I am just saying that cause she's wearing aviators.

[–] binarytobis@lemmy.world 3 points 44 minutes ago

Sometimes I’m surprised how many meme templates are based on celebrities I find distasteful.

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 12 points 2 hours ago

You go first, bro

[–] AshMan85@lemmy.world 8 points 2 hours ago

We will have a chance of survival after we eat the rich

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 54 points 3 hours ago (6 children)

Extinction is the default, you dolt. We were trying to see if we could get a different outcome rather than the default.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 34 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

These people are not clever.

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 hours ago

They are brilliant morons.

Apparently nobody's figured it out for the past 13 billion years or so.

Capitalism is a death cult

[–] A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com 40 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

The billionaires are out for blood. Tought you guys should know.

[–] BonsaiBoo@lemmy.world 14 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Always have been. They just want to play god among men a few more times before they run into their bunkers and end times yachts, and their idea of god is the Old Testament one, where it’s disdainful, demands fealty, is cruel, uncaring, vengeful, requires constant sacrifices to the already stripped down servants, and constant adulation in the form of chants, statues, regailings that hail them as superior and well loved.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (4 children)

It's hilariously sad because it all hinges on them somehow keeping complete control over everyone after all the systems that brought them to the level of wealth they have will be broken and gone. They fail to understand that they succeeded in a system where they didn't have to fear someone cutting their head off to take their place as the new leader of the bunker or will just cut off their head and just fucking leave the bunker behind with their corpse left rotting all alone. When all rules and order are out of the window, they are 100% reliant on their precious technology to continue being in control. All it takes is a failure of ONE of those systems for it to all come crashing down and for their head of security to become a new local warlord. They literally are textbook definitions of "hubris."

Only Zuckerberg actually seems to be considering that aspect in terms of his physical training and fighting training. I wouldn't be surprised if he's also had extensive firearms training, honestly. Out of all of them I can see him having the self-discipline to actually learn the skills he would need to survive after retreating to a bunker. He may still come off like a robot, but he's clearly a little bit more put together than the rest of them, who are either roided out freaks like Bezos or idiots like Musk who couldn't even get roided up correctly because he's so fucking lazy.

[–] BonsaiBoo@lemmy.world 7 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

The problem with zuck is you have to have a community to survive any situation where the systems break down, and he’s not likable enough or social enough to stay in or properly form a community. He made his money with an antisocial hot girl rating site that turned into apps that fed off making people insecure and scared constantly so they’d forever doom scroll. He is incapable of defending himself from multiple tribes simultaneously, including his own.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

Oh absolutely, but the fact that he can and does listen to experts means he may just be willing enough to listen to experts and do some socially ingratiating things even if he as a person doesn't actually care about them. Zuck is an evil asshole, but I don't actually think he's stupid.

[–] BonsaiBoo@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago

Same. But if you pay attention to the reality tv survival shows, the first people on the chopping blocks are the ones that pose obvious threats. That’s zuck by a mile. It’s also how modern right wing govts are being run. I have no doubt it’s how the first gangs in an apocalypse will be run.

And here I thought Ted Faro from Horizon Zero Dawn was bad writing.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

Wow, and I thought I was the only one who actually thought Aloy was really pretty but also didn't understand the accolades for the writing which seemed very one note and had flat character development.

“The only way we can save humanity is to buy my product!”

He’s not warning us, he’s threatening us.

[–] A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

TESCREALism is a billionaire ideology which aims to create superintelligent AI as a "worthy sucessor to humanity"

[–] wuffah@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 2 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

For safety yes. What about over all AOE though?

[–] KelvarCherry@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 46 minutes ago

AOE comes from the bottle breaking. The danger with an unsecured molotov is the fuel may leak out of the top, in which case that AOE is going to be a broad spray starting above your people.

[–] A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 hours ago

I dont think it matters. I wouldn't try to find it out tho

[–] GirthBrooksPLO@lemmy.world 11 points 3 hours ago

Sounds like he didn't get the message with the first few Molotov cocktails.

[–] unmagical@lemmy.ml 15 points 4 hours ago

me not human, me ubermensch…

[–] Arghblarg@lemmy.ca 7 points 3 hours ago

OK, you first Altman.

When he says human he only means rich people. Like how the planatir douche says mass survalience is the only way humans survive he really means it's the only way people like him can survive.
