Asked whether a potential meeting would take place in the US or in a different place, Trump replied, "I don't know. I haven't really heard too much about it." He continued, "I didn't suggest it [a meeting], but some people have suggested it."

"If it happened, it would be happening. I'd be respectful." White House correspondent Peter Doocy, co-anchor of The Sunday Briefing for Fox News, then asked the president, "Do you think because Epic Fury killed his dad and his wife and his kid that he has hard feelings?"

Trump said, "Well, I would say I'm not his favorite person, but with that being said, he's probably a professional. In some circles he has a very good reputation, actually."

Go for it brother! Make sure you go alone so that they recognize your strength

[–] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Be careful what you wish for. MAGA will be taxing the country to ruin to pay Trump's ransom, a la Richard the Lionheart.

He's not worth the toilet paper I wipe my ass with

[–] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 1 points 46 minutes ago

That's not really the issue here.

some people have suggested it

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Whenever a person tells me “well someone said”, the first thing I ask is “who?”… “well some people”…”give me a name”. Because half the time they’re making that shit up, and can’t support it.

I do that at work quite often, especially when a colleague or report says they have a blocker or can’t do something because “well they said”… “who is they? I’ll go talk to them. “

You always get a glimpse of his true personality that shows he’s actually medically insane, like diagnosable as not understanding emotions in others, not having a correct theory of mind in others. All he can consider is what’s in it for him. He’d look beyond someone killing his loved ones (loved used very loosely here) if the killer had a great “deal” for him that enriched him enough or gave him enough power or favors.

Hell, he probably paid the person who killed his first wife...

[–] BonsaiBoo@lemmy.world 19 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Let’s be honest.. he definitely never actually paid

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I thought contract killers are normally paid in advance? I wouldn't know since I've never needed those services.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 4 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Half in advance, half when it's done. Those are the standard terms.

Killer doesn't want to get ripped off by a buyer stiffing him on payment. But the buyer also doesn't want to get ripped off by a killer who just takes the money and disappears with it (without doing the job). Since, obviously, you can't have proper legal contracts and escrow for this kind of shit, half-and-half is the best available compromise. Each party still might get ripped off, but at least they'd only be missing out on half.

This is for independent contractors, of course. If you're working within an organized crime situation where other contract enforcement options are available, the terms could be different. And things will likely also be much different if the buyer and killer already have an established working relationship and trust.

And 'standard' doesn't mean 'mandatory'. Each individual contract can of course be negotiated on its own terms. Maybe the killer has an excellent and well-proven reputation of getting the job done, which makes the buyer willing to pay more or all of it in advance. Maybe the buyer is offering so much above market price that the killer is willing to take the risk on non-payment because the possible payout is so high. Etc.

You should meet him, face to face, do it in Iran

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 6 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Didn't Obama go to Iran? Or some country in that area?

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 18 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I dont know but Trump definitely should with as little as much of his entourage as possible.

"Show up with only a small security detail, because it projects strength! You wouldn't want them thinking you're scared, would you? Cause that's what they would think if you bring too much security. It shows weakness!"

"If it happened, it would be happening."

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what all of America has decided best represents their values and identity. Act accordingly.

He should totally go to Iran for this meeting.

[–] DanceMomsSavedMe@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Yes sir Mr President, jump on the plane to Iran and go talk it out!

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 hours ago

"For security reasons, you'll have to jump out of this plane without a parachute. This squirrel suit will work perfectly as long as you're the height and weight you say you are."

[–] 0ndead@infosec.pub 5 points 2 hours ago

I support his decision to get himself killed

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 hours ago

Lost his fucking mind.
