the way they're pushing "ai" is clearly just the latest tech bro attempt to "disrupt" (monopolize) a market using venture capital to undercut everyone until they're the only game in town before jacking up the prices right before the ipo and bailing. the market just happens to be the labor market this time, which is probably the stupidest possible market to try to corner. gullible dipshit CEOs forgot what too good to be true looks like and swallowed it hook, line, and sinker.

In gaming it's really a difference between those who view it as art and want to create and experience and those who want to make profit.
