Meanwhile I'm in SoCal and it's barely breaking past 70f in fucking June. Climate change is real but I'm actually enjoying it right now, now if only I wasn't a pale motherfucker then I could enjoy it without being reduced to burnt bacon by UV.
Yeah, I'm in the central valley and it's been a weird June. Might hit 82 in the day, but when the sun goes down it gets below 40 and I need a jacket. I have never needed a jacket out here past March but before October 31, eveb at night.
Yeah it's throwing me off bad but im not gonna complain too much. I'm in the San Bernardino foothills it should not be this cool in June, maybe in middle July if we're lucky but not June.
Meanwhile there was just a snow storm in Idaho when it should be around 55–80°F this time of year.
Where I live up north the winter is still 7/12 of the whole year

In the Canadian PNW, 2025 was frequently called a “1990’s summer” due to how mild and reasonable it was. Sure, we still had heat waves. But like the early 1990s, they only lasted for a day or three and not a week or three. They also kept to the 30s and didn’t toad-squat in the 40s like some demented sauna.
It was a beautiful summer. My family’s orchard had a record harvest thanks to it.
I've been in shorts since COVID. Absolutely no point in trousers any more.

I miss winter. you know, the winters where there was two feet of snow outside that lasted for more than 24 hours.
I remember the last time I got two feet of snow, it all melted the next day when it was 94°F

Good news! you can start growing shit year round maybe. Like there are even a few extreme heat resistant plants, but i'd build some hoop houses (hoop house) to protect your plant babies wherever law allows

Yeah, the Balkans have had aircons since forever for this reason. Meanwhile dumbfuck boomers in Austria are blocking aircon installations because "it's not that bad", so we're stuck with portable versions. Which are louder and less efficient. They also refuse to have split system with central units on the roof which are very quiet, because hurr durr too expensive for only 3 months a year. People are so desperate right now they're willing to vote for anyone who runs their campaign on removing the law restricting aircon installations.

Three fucking months in hell, and that's a quarter of a year, too, that's no small amount of time
