Texan here. Winter used to be a nice break from our hot, humid, miserable summers. Now some years I don't even need to wear a jacket. It's just hot all year round now. I hate it.
Winter makes my lupus act up terribly and I can hardly function. Summer heat nowakes my heart condition act up and I can hardly function. There's a period of like 2 weeks in the spring and fall that are perfect
I can easily survive temps in the around 35-37 C with just a fan and ice.
You haven't lived until you've jerry rigged the front grill of your fan with tubing; using a cooler full of ice water and gravity to circulate cold water through the tubing to create a poor man's AC.
If it was up to me the AC would get 1-3 weeks of use. My wife wants the AC; and what baby wants, baby gets.

In Greek, the word for summer is kalokairi. It literally means "good weather."
Snow can suck a fuck. Totally overrated. Why go somewhere that you need to add layers of polyester just to survive? 1 layer of linen and I'm set.
Edit: Every downvote from you churns a server in a data center that makes the earth heat up. Bring it on. Let the leopards eat your faces!
Polyester isn't needed. Layers of cotton (and sometimes linen) work well enough. Or any other plant fibre spun and knitted or woven into fabric. Wool and downs are also good at insulating, but they come with a slew of other issues (like everything else made from animals).

I'll take the dry heat of a desert before the cold. But, I'll take the cold before humid heat. It's humidity that drives me nuts.
Spring/autumn and winter is all i need, summer has become just a nuisance.
You need sun block 1000 to go to the beach for a couple of hours and it's not certain which gives you cancer faster, so i'm very much fine without summer.
Ice. it was ice for 2 weeks solid.
I love snow!
after that snowcrete we had here in the midlantic, I swore I'd never complain about the heat again. It's tough, but I'm holding to my promise. (It's only 98 out so far.)
