Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Doesn't freedom include the right to NOT do something, and not to be forced to do something?

[–] A_A@lemmy.world 8 points 1 hour ago

Better title :
"NBC, ABC and others see the lying Taco pedo as an explosive bullshit disease"

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 14 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

In their defense, it was very boring. The white house hyped it up like he was going to drop a bomb, but it was just the same speech he always does

[–] wayward@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 hour ago

That's just it.

No substance, no air time. It eliminates having to fact check afterwards as well. Double win!

This is great! Where was this taken?

Ms. Rachel a few months ago

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 10 points 3 hours ago

Whine like a bitch about it, why don't you snowflake...?

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 16 points 3 hours ago

Try not listening to him, like these broadcasters did. Nothing of value was lost.

They didn't carry Obama's address on healthcare, they didn't carry Biden's address on the threat to democracy. What's good for the goose...

[–] glitch1985@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I just caught a goose this morning. Please continue, what is good for it.

[–] slickgoat@lemmy.world 1 points 9 minutes ago

The answer is always sexual intercourse.

[–] Dryad@lemmy.world 43 points 6 hours ago

You usually don’t broadcast things that don’t qualify as newsworthy.

[–] newton@feddit.online 28 points 5 hours ago

What about the Epstein files ? Already forgotten.

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 10 points 4 hours ago

Bullying and lying should also come with penalties.

Hands are still too big

[–] Chr0nos1@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

This one? I watched it through ABC. He's full of shit.

[–] Theoriginalthon@lemmy.world 1 points 32 minutes ago

That parasite that you've got going on, should help a little bit, however I bet he's a salad dodger

[–] Flying_Lynx@lemmy.ml 7 points 5 hours ago

Barring PINO from the screen would protect everyone's sanity. A matter of global security.

[–] ZeroCool@piefed.ca 69 points 8 hours ago

To the surprise of absolutely no one.

Having a Cluster B in charge is fun. Isn’t this fun? The toxic branch of the DSM, the least capable of remission of the 4 (and never, at 80), and spiraling down into Dimentia. Who thought this was a good idea?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

It's definitely been a fun experience in exposure therapy as someone with trauma from folks with unregulated cluster b disorders… At this point I'd settle for a president with a cluster a

[–] FaceDeer@fedia.io 4 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

More than half of the American electorate.

[–] CADmonkey@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago

And money-obsessed persons pushing for his election on any platform they own.

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

Not even close. More than 1/3 of the electorate didn't even vote and, of the ones who did, slightly less than half voted for Trump.

[–] FaceDeer@fedia.io 2 points 5 hours ago

I was expecting that excuse to come up, it often does.

People who don't vote are effectively voting "we're okay with whatever everyone else chooses." So when Trump wins those people voted for Trump.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 32 points 7 hours ago

From the same person who threatened to take away broadcast license from networks who broadcasted his pedo-ass getting manhandled in the debate against Harris.

...and when the couch-fucker got "fact checked" in his debate

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 32 points 7 hours ago

Another trumpertantrum. Of course the toddler says that.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 28 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

That was their fact-checking filter. They already know that Trump lies whenever he opens his mouth or types something on "truth" social, so they proactively did not send it.

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 19 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, really, any station that broadcasts a Trump speech should get shut down for spreading misinformation.

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago
[–] cattywampas@lemmy.world 36 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Ope, too bad nobody was listening when you said that!

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 12 points 8 hours ago

His sycophants were alllll ears

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 24 points 7 hours ago

what a whiny bitch

Spicer: ‘A lot of negative comments’ from MAGA faithful after Trump address

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5973895-sean-spicer-trump-election-security/

well, good.

[–] turtlesareneat@piefed.ca 6 points 6 hours ago

...because they wanted to see him go further and introduce a plan

[–] leaky_shower_thought@feddit.nl 7 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

instead of backing up his claims he resorts to threats. great move.

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

You expect him to back up his claims?

[–] leaky_shower_thought@feddit.nl 2 points 3 hours ago

well, he did back it up like a real tantrum toddler.

What a feckless president, such an embarrassment.

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 6 points 7 hours ago

what a whiny little snot
