Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

not sure if a masked guy actually hauled the copper in a bad over his sholder, though

Given that dollar amount, I’m guessing they used trucks.

But it’s possible they had bags over their shoulders with large dollar signs written on them.

No worse use of copper than a AI data center.

I hate this though because it hurts us electricians and the contractors are the only ones who lose out.

How could this happen? I hope it's not the last

How could this happen?

Really, though, how?

Please provide a step-by-step guide.

Sean Gatz has a good video detailing how these scoundrels are quickly cutting these down, all while maintaining their anonymity. I'm getting word now that it's actually all the work of one individual known as 4chan

Good, I support their endeavours!

Idk, this doesnt look like something your average metheads could pull off

you'd be surprised, poorly secured construction sites are a prime target and it only take a couple of guys, bolt-cutters, maybe a jack and a pickup to load up a couple of coils

And returning for a second go speaks to opportunists rather than professional(non-meth) thieves, although I wouldn't rule out inside-job by the contractors

Wait really? With all that equipment laying around id imagine there would be better security.

You'd think but sometime these things are left behind nothing but a single chain-link fence, some have a local security company do a periodic patrol every few hours so easy to get in and out in between, but yeah other have multiple cameras & permanently stationed guards

Would have to know more about the specifics of this site before making a judgement on the perpetrators, but the ghouls building data-centres love to cut corners so would be surprised if they did so on site security
