all i do my phone is make phone calls, and watch netflix, etc.
computer stuff for computer. typey type on full keyboard with 10 fingers.
i quit a volunteer group i used to hang out with because they insisted we all use slack on our phones so we could communicate 24/7. I was like 'no i want to communicate in person only, or maybe occasionally by email. call me in emergecies'
got a lecture about how this made a boomer who was oppressing folks because using the phone/email is triggering for them and why not just have instant communication and expect instant responses and be perpetually anxious/enraged about the slack channel 24/7... because that's like a better way to communicate about a group that meets like 6 times a month? OK zoomers.
had a few people complain to me later how much they hated having to be on the slack 24/7 and i was like 'yeah that's why i quit, it's horrible to try and force people to use technology that does nothing to improve communication nor is it necessary at all when it's a analog activity.'
