I know this is a joke, but, no it is your job as a driver to know how fast you are going. It is one of the basic rules of having the privilege to drive. Of course the fact that so many drivers seem to think this is some kind of infringement is why there are so many fatal accidents. Which wouldn't be so bad if they only maimed and killed the speeders & drunks.
Sure, know how fast you're going. But don't ever answer that question if you were speeding, you're admitting guilt. It's actually illegal for cops to ask that question in some states.
